About the Role
SOLO SHOT IT is seeking a creative, skilled, and highly motivated Photographer to join our growing team in Manchester. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about visual storytelling, photography, and digital content creation. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality photography projects from concept to final delivery while maintaining exceptional client service and creative standards.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication
- Meet with clients to understand project requirements, creative vision, and deliverables.
- Provide professional guidance and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain excellent communication and client relationships.
Planning & Preparation
- Scout locations and assess shooting environments.
- Plan photography sessions and prepare the necessary equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is tested and ready before each assignment.
Photography
- Set up cameras, lighting, and other production equipment.
- Capture high-quality photographs for events, commercial projects, brands, portraits, and other assignments.
- Ensure creative excellence and technical accuracy during shoots.
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit and retouch images using professional software.
- Perform colour correction, image enhancement, cropping, and quality control.
- Prepare images for web, social media, print, and commercial use.
Project Delivery
- Organise and deliver final image galleries and files to clients.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards.
- Prepare content for various digital and print formats.
Collaboration
- Work closely with videographers, graphic designers, content creators, editors, and other creative professionals.
- Contribute ideas and creative solutions to support client objectives and company growth.
Administration
- Manage project timelines and workflows.
- Maintain photography equipment and studio assets.
- Support business operations and promotional activities where required.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Background in Photography, Graphic Design, or a related creative discipline.
- Demonstrable expertise in professional camera systems and photography techniques.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and other image editing software.
- Excellent understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with digital asset management systems.
- Knowledge of web content optimisation and digital publishing workflows.
- Experience working within creative agencies, media organisations, or production companies.
What We Offer
- Work Pattern: Flexible Full-Time (37.5 hours per week). Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends required depending on shoot schedules and client needs.
- Competitive salary of £41,700 per annum.
